  • App usage statistics (time spent, features used, number of calls).

C. Audio and Video Data

The core function of LingoPulse is to facilitate real-time voice conversations.

  • Microphone Access: We require the android.permission.RECORD_AUDIO permission to capture your voice during calls.
  • Real-Time Transmission: Audio data is transmitted in real-time to your conversation partner using WebRTC technology via our service provider, LiveKit.
  • No Recording: We do not record, store, or retain the content of your voice or video calls on our servers. The transmission is transient and encrypted.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Create and manage your account.
  • Match you with suitable language practice partners based on level and interests.
  • Facilitate real-time voice communication.
  • Process payments and manage subscriptions (via RevenueCat).
  • Analyze usage trends to improve the App (via Mixpanel).
  • Send you push notifications regarding updates or matches (via Expo).

3. Disclosure of Your Information

We may share information we have collected about you in certain situations. Your information may be disclosed as follows:

Third-Party Service Providers

We share information with third parties that perform services for us or on our behalf, including:

  • LiveKit: For real-time audio/video infrastructure.
  • RevenueCat: For managing in-app purchases and subscriptions.
  • Mixpanel: For user analytics and behavior tracking.
  • Expo: For sending push notifications.

4. Data Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your personal information. All voice traffic is encrypted in transit using standard WebRTC encryption protocols (DTLS/SRTP). However, please be aware that no security measures are perfect or impenetrable.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal account information as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time through the App settings or by contacting us.

6. Children's Privacy

We do not knowingly solicit information from or market to children under the age of 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under age 13 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information as quickly as possible.
